LAURA LEE
Laura Lee recently graduated with a First-Class (Hons) Degree in Fine Arts & Crafts specialising in Ceramics. We are very excited to be showing a selection of Laura’s collection ‘Burnt Forest Reborn’, created for her final University show in June 2024.
Inspired by the fragile beauty of the forest, Laura aims, through her artwork, to raise awareness of environmental issues and highlight the recent devastation of forests caused by wildfires due to climate change.
The collection of pieces are hand thrown and informed from shapes and textures found in nature. These ceramic vessels are fired several times to create variation and depth in colour and tone. Glazes and oxides are layered resulting in tactile textures making each vessel a one-off piece of art.
